KOMPIS slutrapporten publicerades nyligen. Rapporten skriven av experter på RISE, Chalmers, och KTH handlar om lärdomar från KOMPIS projektet mellan år 2017 and 2021.

 

Israel has created a MaaS system using on-demand bus routing and other tools to ensure the safe and efficient transport of emergency responders and essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems to be working well.  The app has attracted thousands of subscribers in its short lifetime, and may ”leapfrog” the nation into a new on-demand mobility system.

MaaS in Skåne (a collaboration of Skånetrafiken, Iomob OU, Innovation Skåne, and the cities of Helsingborg, Lund, and Malmö) will be hosting a virtual dialogue conference to introduce and discuss plans for a scalable MaaS service in the Skåne region. Skåne officials are inviting representatives of  ”curious and progressive Mobility Service Providers”  interested in contributing to this project.

The conference is scheduled for Monday August 31st, 9:00-12:00 CET. It will take place on MS Teams.

Carsharing in Sweden is heating up! Two new carshare options have landed in Swedish cities. Toyota’s Kinto Share has launched a summer pilot in Stockholm, and Denmark’s GreenMobility has launched in Malmö and Gothenburg.

Toyota Kinto is a station-based option that begins its Stockholm pilot the week of June 22. Toyota will be placing 40 Toyota Corolla kombi in the city’s centre. The service will be available to individual drivers and business, and cars will be available with flexible leasing options:  per day, per weekend, per week, or for an entire month. Prices are fixed per period with an additional per kilometre charge.

GreenMobility, a free-floating carshare option, is now visible on the streets of Malmö and Gothenburg. A mobile app allows customers to pay per minute, per hour, or per day.

Dialogue Conference about Ridesharing/Carpooling

People desire to move freely, and it must be easy to do so. The Nordic PTAs (Public Transport Authorities), play a central role in providing and promoting shared and combined mobility for all. The combination and integration of public transport and ridesharing/carpooling are key components to provide more and better mobility for all.

 

It is traditionally in PTAs operation to source the services and products needed to deliver the value intended. Traditionally this has been sourcing busses, drivers and the like. This is already happening and will continue to change in the future with new services and products.

 

Target audience

The target audience for this dialogue conference is current and future mobility actors in ridesharing and carpooling. We hope to see providers, operators, companies connecting trusted drivers with ride searching passengers and other companies working within this domain. Established companies, start-ups and innovators are all welcome to attend the dialogue conference.

 

Purpose

We want to gain insight and share information and thoughts about the trends specifically within ridesharing and carpooling, as well as the mobility market in general.

 

The conference will help us to identify opportunities, so we can meet our customer’s current and future mobility needs and ensure sustainable mobility solutions in the Nordic countries. We want to meet with various players in the ridesharing and carpooling market and discuss opportunities and future solutions. Further discussions and one-to-one meetings will be possible.

 

Background

We have high ambitions in meeting the mobility needs of the population and companies. This must be done together with partners in the domain. We must provide current and future residents with sustainable mobility solutions. This includes full transport mix of the users with healthy and active transport modes. Our strategies are to meet the increasing demand of public transportation in urban and rural areas by introducing new collaborations combining new solutions and public transport services. We must enable citizens to roam freely, offering a wide variety of mobility solutions suited to their needs while we are ensuring a sustainable growth in our communities.

 

We have insight in how trends such as urbanization, digitalization and individualization affect the mobility market. We wish to see public transportation in a larger perspective, as we believe that the rapidly growing sharing-economy will have a positive impact in addressing the challenges of sustainable community growth. Future solutions must be developed that combine mass transportation with individual, tailor-made solutions. A tight and flexible network of integrated mobility solutions, offering a comprehensive and, for the traveler, seamless mobility is the goal. A key factor in achieving such ambitious goals is good collaboration with other mobility actors in the market.

 

Presenting Ridesharing/Carpooling solutions

Organizations that have relevant products or services they wish to present can make their interest known to Ruter, Cecilie Færden, mail: cecilie.farden@ruter.no, by 12.06.2020 at 0900 (CET).

 

The organizers reserve the right to select the organizations that will be given a timeslot to present their product. This is due to the total time allocated for the conference. All presentations must be handed in to the organizers and will be shared with all participants after the conference.

 

Other participants

This is for organizations with a keen interest in ridesharing/carpooling. As participant from other interest groups, i.e. other PTAs and municipalities can attend and will receive all presentations and further material after the conference.

Further process after the dialogue conference

Welcome!

Som Ni kanske sett i tidigare nyhet så släpptes bilpoolsutredningen , eller Mortorfodonspooler som den kallas i sitt slutbetänkande. Utredningen innehåll något färre positiva förslag än vad bilpoolsbranschen  och vi hade hoppats på. Till exempel förselogs ingen sänkt moms på bil-poolstjänster, och s.k peer-2-peer uthyrning togs inte med. Från ett färdplansperspektiv kom ändå en av de viktigaste frågorna med i förslagen, nämligen möjligheten för kommuner att avsätta parkeringsplatser på ”s.k allmän platsmark” för motorfordonspooler. Detta tycker vi var ett bra steg framåt och kommer möjliggöra för kommuner att själva förbättra föutsättningarna för de tjänster som är en av hörnstenarna i mobilitet-som-tjänst.

I April äverlämnades även utredningen om ett Nationellt biljettsystem av den särksilde utredaren Gerhard Wennerström. Även om utredningen primärt fokuserade på hur ett biljettsystem för hela Sverige skall utformas så adresserade den även en av det vest centrala frågorna i färdplanen – hur tredjepartsaktörer skall kunna få tillgång till och sälja kollektivtrafikens biljetter i sina tjänster. Några av förslagen i utredningen:
-EN nationell infrastruktur för bl.a biljetter där det är obligatoriskt för regionala kollektivtrafikmyndigheter att ansluta sig, oc hfrivilligt för privata kollektivtrafikaktörer.
– EN nationell åtkomstpunkt för trejepartsförsäljning av kollektivtrafikens biljetter (på plats under 2022- alla anslutan 2023)
– ÖKAD tillgång av öppna data för tredjepartsutvecklare
– ”Sverigebiljett” , dvs månadsbiljett som gälelr i hela landet.

Även Trafikverket fick ju under 2019 ett särskilt uppdrag inom området mobilitet som tjänst av regeringen. Uppfraget är tvåfallt, där den ena delen avser en förstudie på en gemensam åtkomstpunkt för kombinerad mobilitet, och den andra avser ett demonstrationsporjekt för hur en bytespunkt för kombinerade mobilitetstjänster kan utföras.
Trafikverket överlämnade sin första delrapport i slutet av mars och har i denna indikerat några ställningstagande som har betydelse för arbetet framåt:

Statens förhållning till gemensam åtkomstpunkt:
 Stödja och förbättra den nationella biljett- och betalstandarden Vilka exakta lösningar och insatser som ger effekt kommer staten att
diskutera med berörda parter. Det kan vara fråga om resurs- och
kompetensaspekter eller andra typer av insatser.
 Ökad kunskap om kundbehov och samhällseffekter Ur ett samhällsperpektiv finns det ett behov av att med bättre data
identifiera möjliga samhällseffekter och konkretisera kundbehov. Här
kan det vara fråga om djupstudier, kundfokusgrupper eller andra
former av effekt- och kundbehovsanalyser. Andra möjliga insatser kan
vara att göra resenärer och bilister mer medvetna om kombinerade
mobilitetstjänster.
 Bidrag till policy och regelverk kommer att behövas för området
generellt När det gäller gemensam åtkomstpunkt bedöms inte policy och
regelverk ge någon effekt. Staten kan däremot förorda användning av
standarder.
 Bidra till framtagande av en gemensam målbild inom ekosystemet
och vilka samhällseffekter som bör eftersträvas Aktörerna behöver i samverkan definiera ett gemensamt mål för hur
de tillsammans kan bidra till bredare användning av kombinerade
mobilitetstjänster och därmed uppnå identifierade, önskvärda effekter.
Behovet är uttalat från aktörerna.

VI hoppas kunna dyka djupare i dessa tre utrefningar i ett webb-meetup efter sommaren.

Tech giant Intel announced on May 4th that it has acquired the Israeli MaaS travel planner, Moovit for $900 million. Moovit serves 800 million travellers worldwide, in 3,200 cities, 103 counties, and 45 languages. Data in the Moovit travel app is maintained by nearly 700k on-the-ground editors or ”Mooviters.”

Moovit will be integrated into Intel’s autonomous driving arm, Mobileye, with the intention of becoming, ”…a complete mobility provider, including robotaxi services, which is forecast to be an estimated $160 billion opportunity by 2030.”

Göran Smith will be defending the third known doctoral dissertation on Mobility-as-a-Service. His research is advised by Chalmers University Professor of Design and Human Factors, Marianne Karlsson.

Kunder till den Stockholmsbaserade MaaS-tjänsten Ubigo, har i veckan fått möjlighet att anmäla intresse för att prenumerera på en egen cykel som en del av abbonemanget. Företaget anger i sin kommunikation med kunderna att detta är ett försök, men om intresset finns så kommer detta kunna bli en permanent tjänst i abbonnemanget.

Att cykel är en viktig del av MaaS-tjänster har många aktörer identifierat, och ofta innefattas t.ex offentliga cykelpooler i erbjudanden. Detta med en cykel på abbonemang, blir ett spännande tillskott i MaaS-erbjudandet, och det skall bli intressant att få höra hur stort intresset är bland Ubigos kunder.’

För alla oss som väntat, var det välkommet att bilpoolsutredningen äntligen lämnade sitt förslag. Resultatet är ett förslag om lag för motorfordonspooler med en tillhörande definition.

En av de frågor som KOMPIS förmedlat till utredningen, har berört städernas möjlighet för bil-poolsparkeringar, något som utredningen glädjande nog föreslår :

”Utredningen föreslår att kommunerna ska ges möjlighet att genom
lokala trafikföreskrifter reservera parkeringsplatser för delningsfordon
på allmän platsmark. Förslaget genomförs genom ändringar i trafikförordningen (1998:1276).”

 

Branschen hade hoppats på sänkt moms för bilpooler, men detta avvisas i förslaget. Detta får ändå ses som ett steg framåt för bilpoolen som en viktig komponent i MaaS, med möjligheten för städerna att själva tillåta tillväxt av delad mobilitet på sina gator.
